свойство почвы задерживать в себе (сорбировать) различные вещества, соприкасающиеся с ее твердой фазой. Различают несколько видов П.с.п.: механическую — поглощение высокодисперсных частиц почвенными порами; физическую — поглощение электролитов под влиянием поверхностной энергии; физико-химическую (обменное и необменное поглощение катионов) — обмен между катионами твердой фазы и почвенного раствора; химическую — образование малорастворимых и нерастворимых солей, которые выпадают в осадок и примешиваются к твердой фазе почвы; биологическую — сорбция веществ микроорганизмами и корнями растений. Количество всех сорбированных почвой обменных катионов (в мг / экв на 100 г почвы) составляет емкость поглощения; величина ее может изменяться в зависимости от содержания почвенного поглощающего комплекса (в основном коллоидов почвы), реакции почвенного раствора, природы катионов и т.п.Толковый биотехнологический словарь.
